Stokes County Sheriffs Through History
Sunday, August 17, 2014 2pm
A dedication of the Wall of Sheriffs in the lobby of the new Court House, hosted by the Stokes County Sheriff's Dept. and the Stokes County Historical Society @ 2:00, Sunday, August 17th. Free and open to the public with light refreshments. Families of former Sheriffs and former Sheriffs are encouraged to attend this special event.

Raffle Tickets are still available for Vol. I Stokes County Heritage Book
The drawing for Vol. I Stokes County Heritage Book will be held July 31, 2014 at 5pm. Anyone wishing to buy a ticket may contact the Stokes County Historical Society at 336-593-9407 or send your check or money order to SCHS at PO BOX 304, Danbury, NC 27016. All tickets must be paid for by July 31, 2014. The tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00.
Volume I Stokes County Heritage Book
The SCHS is working with a company in Massachusetts to reprint Volume I of the Heritage Book. The books will be preordered and half of the cost will need to be paid up front. We have several names on the list already so if you are interested in pur chasing a copy of Volume I please let us know by calling 593-9407. We are working with the publisher to get the best price possible. The deadline for this order is September 30, 2014.
